Kristina Heath Potrykis
was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1971. Her family moved to the
Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohicans Indian Reservation when she was three
months old, where she was raised.
Kristina graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 2001. She is married to Scott
Potrykus and has three children; Hunter, Jasmine, and Kasia; ages 9, 8, and 1.
They currently live in Oak Creek, Wisconsin
.
She is a member of the Woodland Writers, a group of native writers of
children's books and can be credited with writing the book entitled
"Mama's Little One", which can be ordered from the
Stockbridge-Munsee Library.
